How To Get Lots Of Great Leads.

How are you doing finding targeted, interested leads of prospects interested and willing to take a look at your business these days?  Cold calling your friends and neighbors is one way to do it, but maybe not the most effective way.

‘Attraction marketing’ has become such a buzz word and I hate to even focus on it  here, but the best way to get prospects to look at your opportunity is to attract them to you, instead of you going after them.  Doesn’t it make more sense for them to ask you for a presentation about something that they have already predetermined they have interest in, than you contacting them out of the blue and asking them to look at something they are probably not interested in or at least are skeptical about?

With people all over the world increasingly using the internet, it is possible to get lots of great leads to present your business to.  And, several of the methods are so simple that even a kid can do it.  (And, you may want them to help with this task, by the way.)

Here are 4 ways you can generate network marketing leads on the internet for free.

1. Build Your Own List

As you go about building your downline, many people may not be interested in joining your particular network marketing company.  It may be something they decide to do down the road, though.  They have to get to know you a bit, similar to when you and your spouse dated first and then, got committed. LOL Sorry. 

By building a mailing list or email list or facebook friends list or anything similar, you have the opportunity to build a relationship with the people on those lists.  You can share tips, give them all kinds of free and valuable information to help them with their challenges, introduce them to a clickbank product that helped you or a lead system or a great book or webinar etc…

Once they trust you and view you as a leader with lots of value to offer, they will probably contact you and ask you about what you do to make money.  Or, when you reach out and offer the chance for them to look at a method you recommend (your opportunity), now they may be more open to taking a look.

Another benefit to having your own list is that if you ever decide to go in a different direction or join a different opportunity, you ca take your people with you. 

2. Writing and Submitting Articles

There is so much bs out there about article marketing.  Does it work or is it a waste of time.  I am here to tell you that it does work and will always work, because the internet’s food is content.  And the internet is always hungry for fresh content. 

Don’t get overwhelmed by article marketing as a method on how to get lots of great leads.  Here is a crash course. 

  • Search Google or eZines for your keyword or the subject of the article you want to write. 
  • Find articles already written on your topic. 
  • Copy and paste the article on a blank MS Word document. 
  • Rewrite 50% to 60% of the sentences of the article you liked, in your own words, style and flare. 
  • Publish your articles to article directories like eZine Articles or post them to your blog or related blogs. 

Once your articles are published, the will be online and you will get people reading them and going to your website to check your offer or for more information.

Another great benefit of article marketing is that you do it once and the articles stay there forever.  This means you may get a constant flow of visitors for years to come, from one article you wrote years ago. It also gives you a permanent backlink to your website which will increase your rankings on the search engines.  Once again you have potential to get more exposure to potential leads.

3. Social Networking Marketing

Again, there are a lot of people underrate strategies for finding good leads on the social sites, like facebook.  Facebook has over 500,000.000 users and is predicted to grow to over 1,000,000,000.  If everybody is on there, you need to be meeting them there, period.  You can tap into a huge market of people searching out opportunities like the one you are promoting and generate tons of free network marketing leads.  Did I say free leads?

Sign up to these social networking sites, it is free. I personally think facebook is the only one you need.  Make friends with people in there, the more friends the better.  As I write this article, you can add around 10 new friends per day, without facebook limiting your account.  

Here is what you do.  Search for groups of entrepreneurial minded people like, “Think and Grow Rich’, for example.  All of the member’s faces and profiles will pop up.  Pick the ones you like and send them a friend request, along with a one sentence message saying that you noticed that they like ‘Think and Grow Rich’.  Tell them you do to and suggest that they be your friend and share ideas from time to time. 

As your list of friends grows, and it will, because others will seek you out too, post quality suggestions and resources as status updates on your wall.  If you have a blog, include a link back to it, so they can learn more about you ad your info.

When you do this consistently, you become known as an expert and leader in your niche. Now, when you have an opportunity to offer, a lot of people will join you because they see you as an expert and leader.

2. Create Your Own Blog

Having your own blog is free and easy and it provides a great way to get lots of great leads.  If you want to set one up, visit Blogger.com or WordPress.com.  Create a simple, clean blog.  Put in your profile info and contact info, and then post quality information about topics that are important to entrepreneurs on it as you posts. 

Major search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo love blogs that post unique content.  If you take time to post to your blog frequently, you might see a stream of search engine visitors to your blogs.  Some blogs become hugely popular in a very short timeframe, because when other people like your post, they can easily share it with others who also share it and so on.  So, you stand the chance of seeing lots of visitors. 

Blogs are important, because they also brand you and give you a central spot to introduce yourself to your audience.  And you can enter a lead capture box and give away some good free stuff in return for visitors taking a moment to enter their contact information, so you can follow up with them in the future.  This goes back to building your own list to generate leads for your business, as we discussed earlier.

I have been doing this for a long time and I believe that too many entrepreneurs overlook these simple methods and try to go out and re-invent the wheel, trying all kinds of faddish stuff that does not work for the long term. 

These 4 simple methods will take some time to bring results, but they work now and will in the future.  The trick is consistency.  So, build time in each and every week to do some of them or outsource it, but get it done.
